Tribute to Nelson Mandela aka Madiba

Le 6 décembre 2013 au matin, j’apprends le décès de Nelson Mandela par la radio alors que je me rends en transport en commun à Trempolino à Nantes.
Un chagrin de fraternité me saisit. En arrivant, j'ouvre le piano fatigué, allume les micros et l’enregistreur… et j'improvise librement en accueillant la musique dans cet état étrange entre vacuité et trop plein d’émotions. Voici la trace de ce moment en création instantanée, en hommage à Madiba alias Nelson Mandela.

On December 6, 2013 in the morning, I learned on the radio of the death of Nelson Mandela while I was going by public transport to Trempolino in Nantes.
A sorrow of fraternity seized me. When I arrive, I open the tired piano, turn on the microphones and the recorder… and I improvise freely, welcoming the music in this strange state between emptiness and too full of emotions. Here is the trace of this moment in instantaneous creation, in homage to Madiba alias Nelson Mandela.
